Catalyst airdrop: no token yet. Sequoia led a $30M seed for AI trading workflows across perps, stocks and prediction markets. How to get early access.
Catalyst Airdrop Guide 2026: Sequoia-Backed AI Trading Agents, Early Access
Some projects are worth joining for the product before anyone mentions a token. Catalyst is one of them, and the reason it belongs on an airdrop site is simple: a $30M Sequoia-led seed, no token, and a waitlist you can still get ahead of.
Short answer: as of October 27, 2026, Catalyst has no token, no points and no announced airdrop. It is a free research preview that lets people in from a waitlist. Any airdrop is speculative. Join through .

What is Catalyst?
Catalyst describes itself as "the intent layer for all of finance." Instead of clicking through order tickets, you write what you want in plain English, a trade, a thesis or a rule, and Catalyst turns it into a visual workflow that monitors real-time signals and executes when your conditions are met.
The example on its own site shows the idea: watch a news outlet's posts about a company, go long if the tone is positive, short if it is not, exit if another outlet contradicts it, and set a take profit and stop loss. Alerts work the same way, such as pinging you when a prediction-market probability crosses a level.
What it covers today, per its FAQ:
- Markets: spot tokens, perpetuals, tokenized stocks and prediction markets , with "more onchain and offchain assets coming soon".
- Signals: market data, news, social activity, sentiment and other real-time inputs, which you can combine across markets in one workflow.
- Research widgets: prediction-market odds and positions, stock earnings and price history, options flow, perp funding and open interest , sentiment, fund flows, news and a portfolio tracker.
- Funding: card and Apple Pay, or USDC, SOL, ETH and BNB. Withdrawals are in stablecoins for now, with fiat "coming soon".
- Price: free during the research preview.
Who is behind Catalyst?
Catalyst was founded in 2025 in San Francisco by Justin Zheng and Dylan Iskandar, according to Fortune. Pulse2 adds that Iskandar did cybersecurity research for the US Department of Defense in high school and went to Stanford as a Jane Street scholar before leaving, and that Zheng raised a seed round at 16. The team includes people from Palantir, Scale AI, Citadel, Citadel Securities, Hudson River Trading and Jump.
On October 8, 2026, Catalyst announced a $30M seed round led by Sequoia Capital. Fortune named Jump Trading, Peak XV, Lux Capital, AntiFund, Coinbase and Premji Invest among the investors, and Wilson Sonsini advised on the deal. Fortune also reported the company's own claim of hundreds of millions in trading volume during a short pilot; that figure is the company's, not independently checked.
Is the Catalyst airdrop confirmed?
No. Catalyst has said nothing about a token, points or rewards, and its site does not mention one. I am covering it as a speculative early-access play, and here is the honest case:
- Funding: $30M from Sequoia and crypto-native firms like Jump and Coinbase is the kind of backing that tokenless crypto products often turn into a network token later. Often, not always.
- Crypto-native rails: non-custodial wallets, on-chain perps, tokenized stocks and prediction markets.
- Early access matters: if a program ever rewards early, active users, the people using it during the preview are the early users.
The case against: Catalyst may simply be a well-funded fintech that never issues a token. Use it because automation is useful to you, not because of a drop that may never come.

How to get in and position (step-by-step)
How much does it cost?
Catalyst itself is free during the preview. Your costs are the trading fees, spread and funding on whatever your strategies trade, plus the deposit route you choose. The real risk is automation: a rule that misreads a headline can open a position you would never take by hand. Start with $50 to $100 and a hard stop.
Is Catalyst safe?
The credentials are strong: Sequoia, Jump, Coinbase and a team from top trading firms. Catalyst says it does not hold user funds, uses a custom execution framework with strict controls, makes every action verifiable, and lets you set the budget and pause strategies at any time. The risks are automation errors, market and liquidation risk on perps, a product that is still a preview, and impersonators: several unrelated crypto projects share the Catalyst name. The real one is catalyst.app and its X is @CatalystApp. Never share a seed phrase .
