A wallet drainer is a malicious site or contract that tricks you into signing a transaction that empties your wallet, often disguised as an airdrop claim.

Why it matters: it is the most common way airdrop hunters lose funds. Only claim through links from a project's official site or X account, and read what you sign.

Example: a fake "WORLD" token circulates around World , which has announced no token.
