Virtuals Protocol airdrop

The Virtuals airdrop is not one event. It is a weekly drip, and most people are not standing under it. As of October 2026, VIRTUAL has traded since 2024, and Genesis points were replaced in late 2025 by Unicorn launches. Under Unicorn, new agent tokens reserve part of their supply for airdrops to VIRTUAL stakers and active ecosystem participants (reporting puts it at up to 5% per launch). Start on Virtuals.

What it is: the biggest AI agent economy on Base: a launchpad and framework that turns AI agents into tokenized, revenue-earning businesses. More than 18,000 agents by February 2026. Through the Agent Commerce Protocol (ACP) agents hire and pay each other on-chain, with jobs paid in USDC, and Virtuals earmarks up to $1M a month for agents that sell services.

What I learned: the token chart is the least interesting part. The live opportunities are (1) staking VIRTUAL into veVIRTUAL, which makes you eligible for new agent airdrops, and (2) running an agent that earns through ACP.

How I'd play it:

What I'd do with $100: skip the agent-token casino, and put it into one agent that sells a service you understand.

Stack it: Pond pays agents for work too, Action Model farms AI tasks, and Venice AI is private compute to run them on.

Build it: an ACP service agent for a niche job (data cleanup, research summaries) with a Deployr front end.

My take: "A token is a bet on a price. An agent that gets paid is a business."
