Altura's vault is winding down: do not deposit

Status (October 2026): on June 21, 2026, after more than 8.5 million USDT was redeemed in 24 hours, Altura announced an orderly wind-down of its stablecoin yield vault and stopped new deposits. Its CEO cited sustained withdrawal demand and market sentiment, and said the vault had no direct exposure to the depegged msUSD stablecoin. In late July Altura said it had sold its real-world asset positions, but about 16.4 million pounds was frozen in its company bank account during a bank review, which delayed the final redemptions. We have found no confirmation that those funds have been released.

What Altura was

Altura was a multi-strategy USDT yield vault on HyperEVM : you deposited USDT, received AVLT shares, and earned yield from trading fees, hedged funding and real-asset income, plus airdrop rewards. It raised a M seed led by Ascension, and its first airdrop campaign paid ,000 of tokens (0.5% of supply) daily via Merkl over 99 days from January 21, 2026. The vault peaked at about M before the redemption rush.
